We have a newbie on In Your Bag today. Adam Jackson is fresh to the site and has a great bag for us, with a classic Nikon SLR.
Hello, this is my first In Your Bag submission. My name is Adam Jackson. I’m from Elkhart, IN, USA. I’ve recently gotten back into film, after becoming bored with digital. I missed the more physical aspect of film, and the surprise and challenge of having shots developed.
I had many point-and-shoot cameras as a child, but never had an opportunity to use an SLR, or rangefinder. My journey started with a Canon TLb, and quickly progressed to owning a Canon QL-17 G III, an everyday carry, pocketable, point-and-shoot Canon Sure Shot 130-U, and a Nikon FA and Canon T-50 which were both introduced to the world the same year I was (1983).
My current setup is as follows:

The bag: Alpaka Bravo Sling Max. The bag has many pockets, and is the perfect size for 2-3 cameras, or 2 cameras and an extra lens.
Current cameras: I’ve been carrying both an SLR, and a rangefinder, in order to keep practice with both formats. My absolute favorites are the Nikon FA (which is really starting to convert me from being a primarily Canon fan), and the QL 17 G-III.
Film: I’m currently running Cinestill 800T, and expired Fuji Superia X-tra 400. For warmer tones, and switching to spring/summer months, I’ll be using Kodak ColorPlus 200 a bit, as well.
Side gear: Maxpedition zipper pouch with Nextool 10-in-one compact multi-tool, Victorinox Swiss Army nail clip, Burt’s Bees vanilla maple chapstick, a compact pocket pen, Rite In The Rain notebook, bandaids, and Loop ear plugs (which help drown out background noise). I also carry extra AA batteries, and button cell batteries.
Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Adam. That is a lovely Nikon FA.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
