In your bag 860, John Davidson
A bright and cool bag for you all today. John’s bag seamlessly mixes classic and modern cameras for a multi purpose travel setup. Come and check it out.
I thought it was time I sent in a pic of one of my bags after reading about so many great photographers and their gear on your site.
My name is John Davidson and I am a 46 year old Air Force officer from the historic Goldfields city of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. I have been around cameras and film photography since an early age and enjoy street photography in Ballarat, Melbourne and recently, Tokyo Japan.
My street/ holiday setup is as follows:
Montbell bag and notebook.
Pentax SV with 55mm f1.8 Super Takumar lens. I love this mechanical masterpiece!
Ihagee Exa with 50mm f2.9 Ludwig Meritar lens. Ever since I saw Jimmy Stewart use an Exacta in the Hitchcock film “Rear Window” I have wanted one. This is the poorer cousin, but it’s still very cool.
Mamiya 4B rangefinder with Sekor f2.8 lens. 51 years old. Like new. I love it.
Ilford XP2 400 B&W film. C41 process. Convenient!
Fujifilm Pro 160 colour film.
Nokia Lumia 400 phone. Unbreakable.
Nikon 1 V1 with FT-1 adapter and Nikkor 35mm f1.8 lens. The adapter is expensive, but I can use the lenses from my Nikon D7100 (not shown)
Nikon P7100. Small, light, versatile.
Japanese phrasebook. I need all the help I can get. And I return in two weeks.
