In your bag 774, Francois Nadeau
Today we have not one, not two, but three superb bags for you. Francois has three very different setups to share with us. Check them out.
Hi, I’m François Nadeau from Montreal, Quebec. I’m a music composer for TV and documentary and i am a professional photographer. My everyday life is split between those two loves. I had a bag feature before (https://www.japancamerahunter.com/2012/11/in-your-bag-no-335-francois-nadeau/) and i did some updates since.
I’m a camera maniac. I love them in any way, shape or form. I shoot everyday and i like to try and experiment. I have a big collection and yes, i suffer from a severe Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) and i’m happy with it. I have three kit to show you and it’s basically how i get around.
The city kit
This is what i usually use everyday when i walk around Montreal. I have a lot of 35mm cameras so depending on how i feel in the morning, i switch from one to another. Sometime i take along a120mm along with me.
-Retrospective bag
-Olympus OM DE M1 (i did a little article on it on “The Inspired Eye” http://www.theinspiredeye.net/olympus-om-d-e-m1-first-user-impressions/)
-Nikon FM2 (that i got at the Nikon House in Tokyo after checking Bellamy’s Complete shopping guide to Tokyo and exange a few email with him while i was in Tokyo last june)
-Minolta x-700
-Flashlight, card case, battery, cleaning pen, Moleskine note pad and a big Ziplock bag.
Why the zyplock bag? Because in Quebec, during winter, temperature can go to -30 celsius and i put my digital camera in the bag before going indoor to avoid condensation in the camera)
real story
-my wife: why did you bag those huge ziplock bag?
-me: to put my camera in
-My wife: why do you want to put your camera in the freezer??
-me: ….
for the Olympus, beside the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8, i have a Bower 7.5mm fisheye and a Lumix Leica 25mm 1.4
-and a case that holds my films that i got from that weird site in Japan
The Great outdoors bag
I love the great outdoors and just get myself lost in the woods with the bears. But i will use this kit too in studio to shoot gorgeous models if it’s too cold outside.
-Lowepro backpack bag
-Canon 5D MIII
-Batteries, filters, trigger, flashligth, remote, flashs
-Canon 70-300 mm F4-5,6 L IS USM
-Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
-Tamron Macro SP AF 90mm
-Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM
-Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX DG Diagonal Fisheye
-Canon 50mm 1.4 (not in the pictures)
The portable kit
I named it like that as a joke because it’s a big kit, a huge case. I have detroyed the paint of many doors with it. But i love shooting with a large format camera. The basic essence of photography
-Big case that must had hold bombs during WW2
-film holders
-Calumet 4 X 5 camera
-Computar Symmetrigon 150mm f/6.3
-remote cable
-magnifier loupe
-Sekonic light meter
Besides that, i have more camera bags that my wife has shoes!! And my car truck is filled with tripods of all sorts.
Thanks for letting me share my gear.

Thanks for sharing your bag with us Francois, they are epic. Haha, weird site in Japan.
Check out the links and make sure you come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
