IN YOUR BAG 1768 – Stephan Spiegelberg

Stephan is one of the original participants of ‘In your bag’, so it is wonderful to see him back on the site. You can see more of his bags by clicking here. Check out how things have evolved over the years.

Nice to be back again. I actually had the good fortune to present my first bag at Bellamy over 13 years ago. Since then, two more bags have been shown by me. While my second bag was more than ambitious with a Hasselblad Xpan and a Mamiya 645, the third set was minimalist and contained little more than a Voigtländer Bessa III. Now, at an advanced age, most of it fits in my jacket pockets – I’m too old and too lazy to lug it around.

I would say that an iPhone could do the jobs of almost everything I have here – but sometimes I just don’t want to have a smartphone with me, I don’t want to be reachable. So I pack up:

– Konica auto S3: A wonderful rangefinder camera with time pre-selection and a nice shutter sound.
– DJI Osmo Pocket 2: A nice toy that can record videos in excellent quality.
– Apple iPod classic 160 GB: The younger ones may find it hard to believe, but this thing also works in cellars, caves, aeroplanes and on the high seas.
– Nintendo Game & Watch: new edition of the mini console with several Super Mario games.
– Nokia 100 Cellphone: with snake and light and still 4/5 bars of battery.
– Film, film, film

Stephan

Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Stephan. Nice to see you again after such a long break.
Check out the links and please come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com

Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.

Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.

Cheers
