Came across Gustavo’s work on Burn My Eye and it was his street photography that a lot do on that page, but the additional symbolism he manages to work into his photographs that stood out to me. You can see this in his response to question 2 where drinking is implied, but since the subject confronts us in such a lowly manner there is an interesting contradiction symbolized by the proud lions above looking beyond. Or in his response to question 3, where the colors, the shadow, the moment, the composition, the subject enjoying the sunlight all make it a great photo but the little sun design on the bag that symbolizes the whole sentiment of the photograph is the addition that prompted this interview.
