In your bag No: 1284, Moe Martinez
Moe is back, sharing with us the gear he uses to shoot the streets of Chicago. I loved walking around Chicago, but it is a lot of walking, I would require snacks in my bag if I was to go there again.
Time for an “In your bag” update from Chicago!
First off the bag! I had some issues with my shoulder (work laptop is a stupid heavy beast) so now I am running with a Timbuk2 Rogue backpack, its small and tight but fits all of this stuff in it and then some! I put on my Asilda Photography Film is Not Dead patch on the velcro strip.
So the daily driver has not changed, I am still shooting the Fujifilm X100s every day, summer downtown Chicago are really choice for street photography and I have been having a blast.
I’m still carrying the Nikon L35AF with a cheap roll of Kodak 800 color film, for film snapshots and such.
Today I’m also carrying the Mamiya 645AFDii with the 80mm 2.8 mounted on it and a MF 105mm 3.5 for tighter shots.
– An Anker for the time the phone decides to clunk out, ‘gramming takes some juice!
– The required Moo Cards.
– The Sekonik Meter (L308s)
– A Joby Gorillapod SLR with ballhead for some timelapses I’ve been doing on the iphone (another reason for the anker battery)
– Film (some random stuff I had in my fridge, 400tx, 400NC, 100 T-Max)
– Orange/Grey Pouch for batteries and random cleaning supplies and flashlight.
– Upgraded the camera pouch inser to an ape case… I may be getting a slightly bigger one, but I love it!
-iPhone 6 not pictured but heavily used to take pictures/timelapses/videos/and kid pictures…and in your bag shots.
Still doing street photography every day weather and work permitting, and sometimes even if either of those don’t. I am also back to shooting studio work for fun mostly but it helps my mental health to stay creative! check out the ol’ Instagram for what I have been up to. And since I am a web developer the website has been neglected and hopefully will be updated when work and life permits!
Thanks for sharing your bag with us again, Moe. It is cool to see how bags changes as the needs of the photographer change.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com.
Send me a hi resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500 across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
