In your bag 265, Edwin Retuta
After yesterdays monster bag we have a bag that is a whole lot lighter. Edwin hails from Australia and brings us this compact bag with a whole range of interesting little cameras.
Hi, I’m Edwin Retuta 42 Yr old IT consultant from Melbourne, Australia. I’ve been a big fan of Japan Camera Hunter and the ‘In your bag’ series and have always wanted to send in an entry. I mainly shoot film and have a soft spot for bargain bin cameras. I often check-in at thrift stores and ebay to try my luck at picking up old and unwanted beauties. (Self diagnosed GAS). Unfortunately too this end, I have accumulated a fair few most of which have some issue or another, mainly meter problems. But some, I have played favourites to and often shoot with on a daily basis. Most of my shots are of my children, but am trying to shoot more street photography style shots. I’ll keep plugging away.
My bag, a Kathmandu travel bag ( my wife calls it my ‘manbag’). No padding, but will hold two or three of my cameras no problem.
In my bag:
Olympus mju zoom
Olympus XA + A11 (ultra sharp photos with this deceptive simple camera. Zuiko lens is a beauty)
LUMIX – DMC-TZ7
MINOX 35 GT with flash. Ultra small and discrete. I’ve had comments about it looking like a toy, but this camera also has a sharp lens and produces slr quality results (in my humble opinion).
LED torch. Very handy when fumbling around after dark.
mint gum.
A Couple of rolls of film. I mainly shoot b&w as I like to develop at home, but I find color is just as easy to drop off a the local BIG W chain stores in town.

Thanks for sharing your bag with us Edwin, I love seeing those old Olympus XA’s, they are really cool.
Check out Edwin’s link and make sure that you come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here.
Cheers
