In your bag 1785 – John Gleason, Jr

In they trickle, from time to time. It is still great to see peoples bags and what they shoot. John here has a lovely bag full of pinhole gear, which is something you don’t see every day. Check it out.

Pinhole

As promised I submit to you a pinhole camera bag in all its glory!

To be fair, this consists of a humble nondescript gym bag with a paired down collection of camera gear for a typical outing. My usual camera is the beautifully crafted NOPO 120 pinhole camera.

I will take along a pinhole calculator from Ranica, a Reveni Lab exposure meter, a sleeve of 52 mm filters and a Joby tripod for long exposures. If I need more flexibility, I will take a regular sized tripod and a Minolta Spotmeter.

I shoot Kodak TMax 100 for its low grain and shorter reciprocity failure.  As for exposure times, I will use my iPhone with the Reciprocity + app for timing and exposure estimates.

Cheers and thanks for your great collection of cameras.

I love this, really I do. The gym bag is just perfect. This is a wonderful setup. Thanks for sharing with us John.

Please keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com

Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.

Cheers
