IN YOUR BAG 1769 – Micheal
Michael keeps it low key with less of a bag and more of a strap. Come and check it out.
My name is Michael and here’s my “bag”.
I went through the whole backlog and I think my setup might bend “The Rules” slightly ;).
When browsing the web in 2017 after buying my first “not a phone” camera, my guest answering the two most important questions mankind (regarding to YouTube) is facing began.
1. Does owning a camera make you cool?
Sadly no, but photographing people that can bust out a mean kickflip helps to get over this harsh truth.
2. Whats the perfect camera strap?
Girls and Guys I SOLVED IT!!!
I found this rare beauty in a bavarian skateshop called mullus in 2020.
The Doughnut X Ferment Camera Strap.
Why?
Because it has a pouch for storing those batteries (I admire my M10, but the bp-scl5 costs more than 20 rolls of hp5…) and some straps for storing your sweet sweet 120 and 35 rolls. Oh and it’s kinda comfy.
So what is dangling from it:

Leica M10 – Love it.
As a software / it person I slowly got tired of looking at Screens. I fell in love with the ability to “crop” real life that a rangefinder gives while using the Xpro3 for multiple years, but then came the dreaded day I got to look through a real rangefinder.
Lens(es):
A summicron 50, I dont really know which version, but you certainly will.
Love the look, love the size. I even shot a few c1rca ads with it.

Elmarit 135 (not shown):
The good thing about this lens:
Not even the grinchies of people can stay serious when they see it mounted on this small camera. Oh and it’s cheap in Germany (~150€ If you are willing to banter).
Thingies:
Leica HOOBE (yellow Filter):
Comes in handy when you I am out shooting surfers, portraits or I’m in the mood for some b+w only.
BP-SCL5 (a battery):
To get through the day.
Dirty ass lens cloth:
Dont panic, it’s only for emergencies.
Around my neck, next to the camera strap:
Old bose Soundsport earbuds:
you can take one out and dont risk loosing it.
On the hot shoe:
A bubble level – a charming gift from my lovely wife.

Where can you see my (hopefully level) Pictures:

P.S.:
Love your site and the Instagram live videos!
P.P.S:
The camera lurking in the shadows is a old rolleicord schneider-kreunach Xenar 1:3.5/75. Maybe its only this copy, but the lens ist super crisp at 1:5,6!
Greetings
Michael
Thanks for sharing your kit, Michael. Yes, it isn’t a bag but a worthy effort nonetheless. Nice Shirt BTW.
Check out the links and please come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
Japancamerahunter
