Film News: CineStill Announces CS6 “Creative Slide” DynamicChrome Kit
The team at CineStill have been very busy beavers lately and it seems they are on a roll, announcing a new simplified E-6 kit for home processing. Here is the big news from CineStill.
Introducing the CS6 “Creative Slide” DynamicChrome Kit
A simplified 3-bath dynamic E-6 kit for processing color reversal film at home.
Slide film is ageless. For decades, photographers have loaded it into their cameras and created memories that can be viewed as positive images on strips of film or mounted and projected in all their glory. In 2017, Kodak revived the iconic Ektachrome E100 slide film, reigniting the passion for positive.
CineStill’s groundbreaking Cs6 chemistry multiplies your choices, with a quick and easy process that gives you maximum creative control, making your slides superior to color-corrected negative scans without sacrificing flexibility. The new Cs6 “Creative Slide” DynamicChrome Kit from CineStill puts all the chemistry you need to process this magical slide film into one convenient box, just like our Cs41 “Color Simplified” Kit.
The Cs6 “Creative Slide” 3-Bath Process makes complicated chemistry simplified by reducing the number of processing baths for E-6 film from 6 to 3. With Cs6 compared to E-6, the reversal step occurs during color development in a Color&Reversal bath, and the bleach and conditioner steps are combined with the fixing step in a Bleaches&Fixer bath. D9 “DynamicChrome” is the world’s most flexible 1st developer for slide film, rendering approximately 9+ stops of usable dynamic range, compared to approximately 6 stops with conventional E-6 processing.
The Cs6 DynamicChrome Kit contains Cr6 “Color&Reversal” 2-in-1 Reusable Slide Solution, Bf6 “Bleaches&Fixer” 3-in-1 Reusable Slide Solution, and our D9 “DynamicChrome” 1st Developer. D9 “DynamicChrome” is the most versatile of the CineStill Cs6 1st Developers, allowing you to have more control over your dynamic range and giving you a great way to get started with processing slide film at home.
D9 maintains vibrant color-contrast and rich warm-tones with preserved highlight and shadow detail for a more cinematic look, that is optimized for scanning. 1000ml stock solution makes 2000ml of single-use working solution (1+1 Dilution) to develop up to 16 rolls or 100ft of slide film. Along with the chemistry, the kit also includes in-depth instructions on how to maximize your results as well as a quick reference card that you can cut out to keep in your home lab.
Viewing slide film is one of the most magical experiences in analog photography. With this new Cs6 DynamicChrome Kit, CineStill has created an entry level into the Cs6 family, giving you the quality of Cs6 in the convenience of an all-in-one box.

Whaouuu after the invasion of Ukraine by Adolph Putin, the beginning of Paralympics of Beijing which can be end by the invasion of Taiwan, in this world of crazy dictatures, … at last in March a good news with this kit : thanks to put a little joy for us and a hope of a better world for you and for me.
How’s this different from what they announced back in May 2020? The sample shots seem to be the same from that time.
