In your bag No: 1474, Nick Quirk
If you like compact cameras then you are going to love this one. It seems nick carries more compacts than even the most hardy of shooters. All of them classics too. Check it out.
I’ve come across some great snaps from other parts of the world in the “in your bag” section here over the years so I thought I’d share some of my own.
Hello my name is Nick Quirk, from Sydney, Australia and have just moved to London after spending the summer in Europe.
I rarely have a bag with me as you can tell I like a camera that’s pocketable, but, if i do require a bag its the Jansport, she’s an adequately sized, well made backpack with a timeless design.
As for camera choice, I love the premium compacts. A full frame sharp large lens in your pocket sounds good to me and they produce some banger snaps.
you can see my photos here
I rarely stray from Portra for colour, occasionally Ektar. And really only use Tmax for B&W which i develop at home (d76). All scans are with a Plustek Opticfilm 8100 with the exception of a few recent lab jobs in there.
Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Nick. That is a pretty impressive set of cameras.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
