In your bag 297, Dan Chippendale
We have a holiday bag for you today, although Dan is probably long back from his holiday by now. There is a load of different and wonderful cameras in this bag. Check it out.

Big up Bellamy,
Wanted to send a photo of my holiday bag. Apologies for the pretty crap quality, had plans to set it all up properly with lights and stuff but had to take this quickly last night with my iphone as I had very little time to pack (got 2 kids to pack for so was in a bit of a rush).

This is what I’m taking on holiday to the South of France for the week next week.

I’m a graphic designer (mostly digital/web) and also offer photography to clients. I’ve had relatively decent success with my photography; my biggest job to date was for Weetabix taking photos for their main website, the client loved them so much they used them on the boxes too. 4 million boxes to be precise! I’ve also had my work used in UK Vogue for Kurt Geiger shoes.

I’m pretty obsessed with photography in my spare time. I enjoy street photography, but I’d say I’m not a “street photographer” I’m just a photographer. I’m shooting and developing my own film quite a lot at the moment as well as shooting digital. I’m a bit of a Leica nut and have invested quite heavily in Leica gear over the last couple of years. After busting my shoulder shooting a wedding with my heavy Canon kit I wanted a lightweight kit that delivered the quality I had become accustomed to. Enter Leica. Common story I think.

Anyway, here’s what I’m taking on holiday:

Cheap Chinese Coarser bag from ebay

Billingham Hadley digital

Leica M9

Leica M6 TTL

Leica Summicron 35mm ASPH

Leica Summilux 50mm Pre-ASPH

Voigtlander Super-wide Heliar ASPH 15mm

Voigtlander 15mm EVF

Ricoh GR1S

Sekonic Twin-mate light meter

Bag of 20 assorted 35mm films (Portra 160/400, Tri-X, Superia 200, Delta Pro 100/125, T-Max 100

Misc stuff: ND filters, 9″ cable release, lens hoods, spare batteries, SD cards, lens cloth.

iPad

13″ MacBook Air

Moleskine notepad & pens

Rayban Wayfarer sunnies

X-Mini II portable speaker

That should keep me going for the week!
Keep up the great work on the site. Top quality content going on there!

Cheers

Thanks of sharing you bag with us Dan. It is very similar to my bag, apart from the digital Leica. Great stuff.
