In your bag number 154, Nick Duijnstee
Today we have a lovely bag from the land of tulips and waffles, Holland. Nick has a really nice selection of gear in his bag, so lets see what he is carrying around.
My name is Nick and I hail from Gouda, The Netherlands.
Ever since i upgrade from my Sony P&S to my Nikon D3100 (not displayed here because i used it for shooting this picture) 2,5 years ago I was feeling so stupid i had not done that 5 years ago, but after my vacation in Rome i had like 2000 images of wich more than half were rejected and I said to myself that can’t be the result of all the coming vacations.
Luck would have it one of my friends pointed me to Kenrockwell’s articles about photography and reviews about camera’s old and new.
And it was by his articles that I realized that i had to get a 35mm camera if i ever wanted to get rid of my trigger happy finger and learn to think before taking the snaps, so i surfed the web and found a nice set for €30 and because i already had a Nikon dslr the choice was pretty easy made, and after i put my first roll trough my Nikon EM I was amazed by the results, after some more internet hunting I stumbled upon Mijonju and at the same time japancamerahunter.
But Mijonju was the biggest reason i started collecting camera’s and for the last 8 months i have been on a steady number of 20 or more camera’s.
Not your everyday bag, and that is because its not.
To me it is the most practical and easiest way to have al the things i need with me and not feel like a pack donkey.
Lets see whats in the bag shall we?
Primary:
Nikon EM with case (but without the flap or the leahtery front that goes with it)
Olympus Trip 35 (as a backup and because it is a small beasty with an awesome lens)
Sunpak auto260 Flash (wich came with the recent Olympus OM10 i bought)
Sekonic light meter (You never know)
Cleaning cloth (You can never be to clean with the lens)
HTC Nexus (crap phone)
Wallet (most of the time it is empty )
Van Gogh Medicine Pillbox (ADHD has to be controlled or al my images get shaky :P)
Secondary:
Dummie, pens and eraser (for notes, random doodles and keeping track of camera settings needed for certain conditions)
Glasses (Sun is good but never too much)
Teabags (delicious just delicious)
Extra batteries (power!)
35mm Film:
Kodak T400 (Expired)
Kodak 400 Gold (Expired)
Lomo Film (its cheap and results ar fun)
And most of the time i just grab a handful out of my box of expired film under the bed
