In your bag No: 1688 – Ignacio Crusoe
Always elated to see someone so young with such devotion to film, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age
My name is Ignacio Crusoe. I’m a 17 year old photographer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started film photography four years ago with a Minolta XG9 and a Konica Auto S2 which was a present from my grandfather. I really liked the way of shooting with a rangefinder as it suited me the best for street photography and travel photography. I still conserve those cameras but the camera that I carry with me almost all the time is a Leica M2.
Despite the fact that I’ve shot many rolls with the Hasselblad 500 EL/M, I can’t say much about it as I haven’t taken advantage of its full potential. I’ve used it to make portraits and landscapes, and I am pleased with the results, but I’m looking forward to starting a project with it.
I like shooting black and white film, especially Kodak Tri-X and T-Max 100, which I develop myself. I occasionally shoot colour for some specific projects. As it’s really hard to get fresh film in Argentina, most of my rolls are expired, so I store them in the fridge.
This is what I have in my bag:
- Leica M2 with a 35mm Summaron f/2.8
- Hasselblad 500EL/M with a Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 C
- Gossen Luna-star F lightmeter
- JCH 135 half case with 5 rolls of bulk loaded T-Max 100
- 1 roll of Kodak Ektachrome (135)
- 5 rolls of Kodak Portra 160 (120)
- 1 roll of Kodak T-Max 100 (120)
- Iphone X
- Notebook and a pen
The bag I use is a Tenba bag. However, when I want to travel light, I just carry my Olympus mju with some rolls of film.

Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers

Bravo ! Wonderful gallery.
I have seen your images and they are great.
Love composition, history, grain, BW, colors, … by the way all.
Thank you so much.
I use an M3, but with your images, I should maybe one day try a M2 again with a Tri-X
