In your bag No: 1639 – Stéphane
I’m Stéphane and 47 years old. For 5 years, I’m living in a small city close to Lyon in France. Before, I have spent 5 years in Shanghai, China (I miss China for street shooting). My bag is the same for nearly 6 years. I’m very happy to share a photo of my bag.
I started photography around 13 years ago with a Nikon digital point and shoot camera then switched to a Panasonic bridge then bought a Pentax DSLR K10D and a K-x. During a trip to Japan, my back asked me to switch to a lighter camera. I fell in love with the design of the original Fuji X100 and bought one via a friend in Singapore.
In parallel, I wanted to try film then I bought a Yashica Electro 35 G. It was a great rangefinder camera with a wonderful lens but unfortunately broke during a trip in Hong-Kong. I then decided to buy a Leica rangefinder camera.
1. My everyday camera: Fuji X100 (the original one) with a no name hood and an orange & black hyperion (https://www.hyperioncamerastraps.com/) camera strap. I also bring one CPL filter, one variable ND filter and SD cards.
I love this camera because it’s compact, light, all controls are accessible, with integrated ND filter and a great viewfinder.
2. My film camera: Leica M6, summicron 50 with a no name hood and a red hyperion wrist camera strap. I also own one Voigtlander Color Skopar 21/4 + its viewfinder and one Leica Tele Elmarit 90/2.8 (which I use rarely) + its Leica hood (I have selected these lenses because they have the same filter size). I also bring one yellow filter, one orange filter, several UV filters for lens protection, some batteries and some rolls of film. I shoot mainly TriX and HP5 but I have tried last year silbersalz35 (https://silbersalz35.com/) which offer great and unique colors.
This camera is like a tank and seems indestructible.
3. My bag: a Haglöf Corker Medium. I selected this bag because pockets open from the side. I also bring 2 Joby Gorillapod (Please, don’t ask me ask me why 2) and Chinese lens bag.

Thanks for sending us your bag shot Stéphane. I have the same exact backpack, albeit in teal, but yes the side loading pockets are great and it’s quite weather resistant.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
