In your bag No: 1637 – Syrene Bartolome
Syrene caught the film bug from this gifted classic and has since never left her side.Hello my name is Syrene Bartolome from Southern California. I initially got my first camera, Sony a7s ii, to do more videography work but eventually found my way into shooting stills. After exploring photo for some time I was encouraged by a friend to try film and was gifted this Canon AT-1. Since then I’ve mainly been shooting analog and find myself enjoying trying different film stocks and collecting vintage cameras.
Besides portraiture, I enjoy shooting street photo during my travels and found this Minolta Hi-Matic AF while in Tokyo! Someday I hope to shoot portraiture for an apparel lookbook and exhibit my work at a creative space.
This is what I had in my bag during my travels to Tokyo and Manila earlier this year (missing rolls of Tri-X 400, Portra 400, and Superia X-Tra 400):
- Canon AT-1
- Canon 50mm f/1.8
- Vivitar 28mm f/2.8
- Canon Speedlite 177A
- Minolta Hi-Matic AF
- Dust Blower

Thanks for sending us your bag shot Syrene, good luck on that lookbook!
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
