In your bag No: 1453, Gareth Buckett
Gareth sort of cheats, but there is kind of a bag in there, so I guess it counts. Doesn’t hurt that he carries around two outstanding cameras. Check it out.
Photography has always been a long standing passion of mine, even from my first cheap Hanimex 35mm camera (of which I no longer have but will eventually find) right up to my professional Fuji 6×9 outfit. I’m really a Nikon guy though. The Nikon F3 was the pinnacle design of a true ‘systems camera’. The Nikon F4 was revolutionary and tough and the Nikon F5 is the ultimate refinement of that era. I use all of them.
The medium of film retains a special quality that is worth preserving for as long as possible, as well as the cameras that were designed for it. This is one of the reasons behind Candela, to showcase just what film can still do and has always done.
Most of what I capture on film are landscapes, both natural and industrial. These will often involve chasing the fleeting light to get the perfect shot with the best colour. I have found the best time to shoot is an hour either side of sunrise or sunset. Don’t believe me? Try it! But remember, it’s all about capturing a moment in time, so don’t forget to look around and enjoy it.
*My plain black bag didn’t fit in the shot though most of the time I just take one camera and lens with no bag.*

Thanks for sharing your gear with us, Gareth. That is a great setup you have.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
