Get Featured: Zach Chudley
Zach shares with us a project that he shot with a camera that I sourced from him. Shot in the famous Luna Park in Sydney, this project is bright and full of life. Perfect for a Monday. Check it out.
Hello All,

My name is Zach, and I am a London based documentary photographer and visual journalist. I have recently been talking with Bellamy in regard to a new camera, and thought it might be nice to submit one of the first projects I photographed on my last camera from him.

The project itself was photographed at Luna Park, Sydney, over a month in the summer of 2013. Although on the surface the narrative may seem quite literal, the photographic process, and in-turn the end result, was a highly personal quest for a sense of innocence and freedom. At this period in my life I was going through a terribly difficult break-up, in which the end result was to be my moving back to the UK, to essentially start over. Each day I found myself growing more and more engulfed by the weight of life’s beautifully complicated structure, and as we photographers do, inevitably turned to my camera for solace. Photographing Luna Park was a way for me to channel my thoughts, and essentially remove my self from the burden of life’s responsibilities.

P.S It all turned out peachy.

All photographs shot with Ektachrome VS film on a M6, and 35mm Summicron.
