In your bag 1061, Luís Martins
Blimey, we are back in Portugal again. This time with a very modern type of bag. Check it out.
My name is Luís and I write to you from sunny Lisbon, Portugal.
I am a photographer and I regularly shoot live music in multiple venues and festivals all around the country.
So here’s my bag for a normal gig:
– Canon 5dMkIII
– Canon 50 mm 1.4
– Canon 16-35 mm 2.8
– Canon 24-70 mm 2.8
– Canon 70-200 mm 2.8 II
– Olympus ∞ Stylus
– The Union Street ONA bag
The 5d is an amazing camera. It allows me to shoot low light perfectly and I just love small things like rating the pictures so that my Lightroom workflow is faster. I use the 50 mm quite a lot and it’s the lens that I take everyday with the camera. All the 3 other lenses give me the ability to shoot bigger shows and get more out of thew few minutes photographers get at the pit. I also carry the Olympus because it is the perfect point and shoot camera due to its size and image quality. Also, it feels great to shoot film from time to time.
The bag is ONA. It was a birthday present from a bunch of my friends and I just love it. It doesn’t look like a camera bag so I basically take it everywhere. Have it for 3 or 4 years and swear to you, the more used it gets, the better ir looks.
This year, me and Vera Marmelo (a fellow photographer) decided to edit a zine, dedicated to our favorite venue in Lisbon – Galeria Zé dos Bois. It is a staple in the portuguese music scene and celebrates its 20th birthday this year.
The zine is called CONVITE and you can check it out here: https://vimeo.com/108851994

All the best,

Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Luís. A very nice bunch of friends you have there.
Check out the links and please make sure you come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
