In your bag number 243, Luke Ding
A great bag from Malaysia for you all today. Luke has a great collection of Nikon cameras and he is happy to share them with you. Come and have a look at a street photographers bag.
My name is Luke and I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a street photographer and really got obsessed when I met Eric Kim.
My photographic journey thus far is a short one and although I started in digital, I have now ventured into film.
So here is my gear. I dont carry all of it at any one time but will have at least one of these setups in my bag at all times.
The Bag:
I have the Crumpler 5 million (not pictured) and the Crumpler 7 million (pictured)
The Film setup:
My Pride and Joy:
Nikon FM3a with Carl Zeiss 50mm Planar T* f1.4 ZF. Artisan & Artist Strap and Opera Act 2 soft release.
Well not much more I can say about this setup apart that it’s absolutely beautiful. Got the FM3a brand spanking new. It was still a virgin and had to pop its cherry.
The Zeiss lens is gorgeous and sharp and contrasty.
My Everyday:
Nikon FE2 with Nikkor 35mm f2 AFD. Artisan & Artist Strap and Opera Act 1 soft release.
The FE2 is showing some wear but the absolutely gorgeous brass top and bottom plate is beginning to show.
The 35mm f2, well, just a classic all round great lens.
My No Brainer:
Nikon N90s with Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AF. Artisan & Artist Strap.
Fast autofocus for those times you just want to go brain dead. Will go through a roll of film in 8 seconds. Gotta be careful with this one.
The 50mm f1.8 AF. Got the Made in Japan version instead of the Made in China version.
My Digital:
Olympus EP3 with M.Zuiko 45mm f1.8. I also have the 25mm f1.4 Lumix Leica Sumillux (not pictured)
VF2 Electronic viewfinder and handstrap. Extra Battery and memory card holder.
Film:
Fujifilm Film Holder
Currently I am shooting Kodak Portra 400 or Agfa Vista 400. If i run low on these I shoot Kodak Ultramax 400.
Cigarettes…..well can’t go without these…
Lenspen and dust blower and cleaning cloths. Spare LR44 batteries and AA batteries (not pictured)
IPhone 4s 16g
Some of my “works” can be found here: www.pointofluke.blogspot.com
