In your bag number 140, David Chen
Another great bag for you today, with a very interesting selection of stuff, from an i-pad to a mad old Polaroid camera. Come and see what David has in his bag…

Hello my name is David Chen and i’m a 24 years old living in good old San Francisco. I started following this forum after seeing all these cool collection of cameras from people all around the world and I thought it would be a nice idea to post a small collection of mine as well.

I’m no professional or intend to be any professional photographer, but I am ultra passionate about photography and it’s something I very much enjoy doing on my leisure time.
I used to own a 7D with 17-40 f/4 & 50 f/1.4 and loved the camera a lot but ultimately decided that I very much dislike carrying many gears and a heavy camera when I do my traveling.
That’s what got me into switching over to Leica. I actually bought this camera used (sweet mint condition) and invested the 35mm f/2 Summicron-M ASPH brand new.
Although the capabilities on a DSLR still triumphs over rangefinders, but I never regretted this choice one bit by switching over. Actually i’m more eternally damned to invest heavily on Leica stuff !
Unfortunately I can only afford one lens as of now, but in the future I think I will look into 90mm or something long to shoot with.
When i go out shooting, I like to bring my ipad along and upload images on a bigger screen. If any of you played with an M8 before you know how badly the screen suck haha.

I shoot mainly documentary stuff and street photography now that i switched over to Leica, but before I was into landscape photography when i had the 7D.

I also got back into shooting Polaroids and picked up the SX-70 on ebay when the hype of this camera was still low. There’s some exterior wears but I got it for roughly $60 and it works great!
The fuji instax is what i’m using currently for my polaroid project. I’m collecting a face shot of everyone i’ve met in my life and have them sign their name + date. I haven’t decided
what i want to do with it yet but I currently have collected over 600 polaroids! Thinking about scanning them and posting them on a website, but still need to get the scanning done first XD

I also have a Diana F+ Lomo Camera in my arsenal as well, but I only use it once in awhile.

The leather bag is actually a customized hand crafted bag that fits exactly my needs when i’m traveling (ipad + m8 + wallet + cell phone) . Not really sure if you can tell, but i’m a big fan
of vintage leather work. The M8 strap is actually from the same store.

My flickr is horrifically outdated and there aren’t any recent work on there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/b0ober/
