Jesse’s Visual Interviews: Chris Suspect

Provocative is an adjective one could use to describe the cool angles, sharp contrast, and intriguing subjects in these responses from Chris Suspect for this week’s edition of Jesse’s Visual Interviews

Q1: Who are you?

Q2: What is your favorite way to waste money?

Q3: What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Q4: When are you happiest?

Q5: What did your first kiss feel like?

Q6: Where is home?

Q7: Which body parts (yours or otherwise) do you feel the most affection for?

Q8: What is your favorite vice?

Q9: How do you define adulthood?

Q10: What is your favorite time of day?

Q11: Who is your favorite person?

Q12: What is the most important thing in any relationship?

Thank you for your responses, Chris!

This came about by coincidence. I was in Washington D.C. and attended an event called Stop Motion, a slide show presentation (and annual zine) featuring photographers shooting in the DMV. It ended kind of early and saw some guys contemplating going for a night cap so I joined. One of the guys happened to be Chris and he represents only the second time I agreed to a request for a visual interview. Immediately in seeing his work, it became a no brainer to agree and here it is. I only agreed to a request one other time and instantly regretted it, but here I would have inevitably asked him…but he just cut to the chase. Which brings me to the point of his work in that…it cuts to the chase. The work matches his personality with a lot of off the cuff wit and force that I observed in person. Loved the cynicism in response to question 12, and the perfect humor in his response to question 9. For more check out his work below:
