In your bag No: 1426, Jimmy Yang
Jimmy has had a couple of bags on the site in the past. And now he is back, but with something a little different from his previous offerings. Yes there are some regular cameras, but then things get switched around a bit. Check it out.
I’m Jimmy Yang, and I have been on in your bag twice. However my bag is now totally different from my previous entry, so i though i will share my recent set up with you.
This is my everyday street photography set up. It includes two cameras and one lens(sounds like two girl one cup…), they are set to different ASA speed. I found this set up very simple and light, yet very versatile.
ONA Bowery
Leica MP-6
Leica M6 non-ttl
JCH film case loaded with trix-400
B+W yellow filter

And my second setup doesn’t have a bag for it. I usually take these when I go surfing with my friends.
Nikon L35 AF AW
Lomo fish eye waterproof camera (not sure of the exact name)
I hope you enjoyed my bag, if you want to see some of my work, you can visit me at www.jimmyyangphotography.com or follow me on instagram @square_rectangle
Thanks for reading, and have fun on the streets.
Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Jimmy. I wish I could just go out surfing.
Check out the links and please come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com
Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.
Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers

Hi there. Help me out if you have a moment – what is an MP – 6 please as I have never come across it before? I have an MP No 2940xxxx more or less which is only a little later than this one. Interesting ! And what is your feel for the difference between these ‘first cousin’ cameras you have. It would be good to understand how you use them for different tasks/moods/situations. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. All the best. Des
Hi Des,
So first question first, MP-6 is just a limited edition Leica MP with different leather covering, engraving, and ISO dial. And the difference between MP and M6 is very minimal, the MP feels more reliable (heavy), other than that I think they are pretty much the same camera in day to day use. The reason that I keep both of the MP and M6 is that put different ISO films in different camera. (usually one of them is pushed to 1600).
I hope this answers your questions.
Best,
Jimmy
Nice setup you have.
Reminds me that Im wanting a nikonos for rainy season not for surfing though as my waterproof camera. This is after my craziness for large format.
“two girls- one cup”???????????????? So you’re into scat? That’s messed up dude. What else is in your bag…?
thanks for the reply, I didn’t know that. It makes sense, nice approach with great cameras. Des
Hi Gavin,
I just got a Nikonos V very recently. I love it so far.
Best,
Jimmy
