In your bag number 183, Jeff Lewis
Hi bag-lovers, we have a bag from Australia today. A very cool looking setup with parts from all over the world. Don’t know what I am talking about? then check it out.
Hi everyone,
Here’s my favourite bag of gear:
Leica M4 Wetzlar
35mm f2 Summicron Canada
50mm f2 Summicron Canada
Leitz Ball Head (Germany) with Manfrotto Legs (Italy)
Tenba Bag (USA)
Sekonic L-308s Meter (Philippines?)
iPhone (China)
I love feel of these lenses and camera. They are a joy to use!
I hate to admit it but I usually shoot with a Nikon D7000 and heavy bag of gear, but this is the collection I put together in my last year of high school, 1988 (minus the meter and iPhone) and it’s where my heart lies. I worked part time at Queen Street Camera in Toronto back then and many Torontonians will remember that store with affection. I now reside in Sydney, Australia and love photographing landscapes, people, architecture, my kids and travel.
You can see some of my skating and scootering photos (of my kids and their friends) at www.facebook.com/jdlphoto Needless to say they weren’t taken with this gear. Keep the bags coming – it’s wonderful to see the tools people enjoy using to capture their imagination both on film and in pixels.
Thanks for considering,
Jeff
Thanks for sharing your bag with us Jeff. It is nice to see someone wandering about with an M4. Check out Jeff’s facebook and make sure you comment, it is always nice to get encouraging comments.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here.
Cheers

What kind of Tenba messenger bag is that? i’m interested in getting one here
Hi Aden,
Sorry for the slow response – just got back from a holiday in Italy.
Regarding the bag – it’s about 25 years old so I can’t really work out what it is. Back then they were made in the USA. I don’t know about now.
Cheers,
Jeff
Same as me, huge working bag but the setup I really like is a Leica and one or two lenses. Have to photograph mine, too for sending it to Bellamy. Thank you for posting yours!
