JCH YOUTUBE CHANNEL: The Leica M4-P
This time around we are looking at the camera that holds a strange place in Leica lore. The M4-P was known as one of the budget Leica’s (the other being the M4-2) and was a bare bones camera made in not in Germany, but Canada, eh.
You can follow the channel here: www.youtube.com/user/japancamerahunter
These are a work in progress and we hope to improve them as we learn how to get them right. We have more cameras in the pipeline and are always open to (reasonable) suggestions. Your feedback is valuable. Please make sure you watch, like and subscribe. The more views we get the more we can put into making quality content for the community. You can see more videos here.
Thanks
JCH & Team
I bought mi m4-p chrome brand new in 1988. Usually chrome one were special edition for let’s say first canadian team on everest, leica 70th anniversary and other events for 1000 or 2000 series. The plain one like the one shown here and mine amout only to less than 500 pieces, should be collectible lol. You are right the m6 is almost the same camera with a light meter plus some plastic parts. Same finder. When i bought mine the m6 was already in production so it was by Choice. I plan to send it to kanto for a overhaul when that @#$&*=% virus is gone. It will be good for another30 years and more.
