In your bag 481, Jason Fan
Jason Fan joins us again with another great bag. Quite different from his last setup too. This one is for all you adventurers out there.

Hello JapanCameraHunter Readers

My name is Jason Fan. Photographer based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Here is my newest bag setup for my CatBoarding Trip this weekend. For those who don’t know: CatBoarding = Big tractor that takes you into the back country for fresh snow lines.

A group of us will be making the trek from Edmonton, Alberta to Fernie, British Columbia & spending a day at Fernie Wilderness Adventure CatSkiing.

Since my last “In Your Bag” post (, I’ve drastically changed my photography setup.

Moved from a compact digital (Fujifilm X10) + Hasselblad 500/cm Kit to a Leica M7 + Mamiya 7II. Unfortunately the M7 will be staying at home this time.
I have developed a full film workflow with scanning taken care of by a Nikon Coolscan 5000ED + 9000ED paired with an NEC Spectraview PA271w Monitor.

So onto the pack:

Dakine Heli Pro Pack

Photography Equipment:
Mamiya 7 II + Mamiya 65mm 1:4 N Lens
2x Kodak Portra 400 220 Film
3x Fujifilm 160s 120 Film
Google Nexus 4

Snowboarding & Avalanche Safety Equipment:
VonZipper Fishbowl SmokeOut Edition Goggles + Softbag
Burton Multi-Tool
Etymotic HF2 In-Ear Headphones+Case
J-Fold Wallet
Burt’s Bees Lipbalm
BackCountryAccess Traverse Collapsable Shovel
BackCountryAccess Carbon Snow Probe
BackCountryAccess Tracker2 Avalanche Beacon

Well that’s it for now. Hopefully looking to get some great landscape shots if the weather decides to cooperate and of course some fresh pow.

Thanks for looking!
