In your bag number 79, Pete Donohue
Morning all, here we have another bag for you, and this time it is a digital camera. Never let it be said that I don’t allow digital cameras on the feature. Over to you Pete…

I’m Pete Donohue – Aussie musician and wannabe photographer with a great love of Japan :) I’ve been taking pictures for about 3 years now

Current bag

Crumpler Million Dollar Home -Love the fact that it’s quick to open / close and has a decent amount of storage for a small bag.

Nikon D5000 – My first and only DSLR – As far as I can tell its a great camera – ticks all the boxes for me

Nikkor 50mm f1.8 – Beautiful, sharp and cheap! It gets me that little bit closer
Nikkor 35mm f1.8 – Hoya PRO1D UV – Great in low light for night / gig / indoor shots. Also nice and small, a lot less intrusive for street shots
Sigma 10-20mm f3.5-4 – CPL Filter – Nice sharp wide angle
Tamron 18-250mm – Hoya PRO1D UV filter – I traded in the kit lenses for this. I reckon it’s been a fantastic lens for the price. It was my only lens shooting overseas and I never had a problem with it
SB600 – Great little speedlight – unfortunately no commander mode on the d5000 so I have to carry…
Off Camera Flash Cable – bought it off ebay – does the trick
Random Cleaning Cloth – just random
Spare Camera Battery
AA Batteries
Remote Shutter releases – I have a few because they are cheap and nasty – I love them but I don’t trust them!
Filter Case – this one is great as it holds all sizes of filters
Spare CPL filters for primes
USB-Camera cable – just in case
Portable soft box
I usually carry lenses in the little soft nikon cases but the Sigma is too big so it get’s it’s own
SD Cards – 2 16gb and 2 8gb at a minimum

Geez, I just realised how much crap I cart around!
