The beautiful work of Steve McCurry

Steve McCurry is one of the photographers that really defined my photographic landscape when I was young.
I collected National Geographic magazines from my father and when I was about 13 I was given my own subscription. Steve McCurry was one of the photographers that I saw regularly in this magazine, and his images moved me in ways that I still do not fully understand. He has an ability to capture a portrait that burns deeply into your soul, as if you are looking at an intimate part of the subjects life.
I always wanted to take pictures like this, but I doubt I ever shall, so I look at his work with a sense of great admiration and thanks, that he can give these images to us.

Have a look at the video, I am sure that you will see something that you recognize.
Cheers
