In your bag No: 1391, Mathias Ertnaes
We have a third time offender today. Mahias has been featured recently, but he has changed things up again and shares with us a mix up of his different bags. Check it out.

What´s in my bag nr. 3 Mathias Ertnaes

Hey folks, I figured I should feature a bag again as I constantly switch things around. I am still interning and try to shoot as much as i can outside of work. My job consist of a lot of “easier” photography and video jobs, and it feels so nice to get out again with my manual cameras and just shoot the world around me. Actually observe and composite candid moments of reality. The next few months i´ll be going on a bunch of trips, to friends abroad, with work and to a family members wedding. Here is the kit which i´ll probably bring for all those trips. I usually divide the kit into two different layouts, which I choose based on my needs/mood that day.

First out we have my digital carry. This is what I tend to bring out 65% of the time when traveling, as light and the want for color changes way more unpredictably than when not traveling.

It contains:

Leica M240 with a black dot and a Match Technical Thumbgrip
as well as a «100» soft release
Leica Summicron 35/2 v4
Voigtländer Nokton 50/1.1

Field Notes without lines
Swiss folding knife
iPhone 6 with battery cover
Kaweco Lilliput Ballpoint
Keys to my Rewet Buddy, dont know why, I just always keep them with me
Zippo lighter
Worn Burts Bees
Wallet
Extra SD-card

The extra SD-card pretty much never go in the camera, as I usually keep under 16GB of pictures a day, and I always travel with my macbook.
The voigtlander 50/1.1´s are known for being unreliable, but I luckily got a good copy.

Secondly we have my analog bag. Some days I just feel like shooting film, it´s that simple. I just shoot BW film in the M4-2, and those black and white renders of the places I travel are so nice and timeless.

In the bag I keep:
Leica M4-2
Leica Elmar 50/2.8
Leica Summicron 35/2 v4
Voigtländer Super  Wide-Heliar 15/4.5 ASPH
Lumu light meter (thanks to Jip van Kuijk)
Wallet
Field Notes without lines
Swiss folding knife
iPhone 6 with battery cover
Kaweco Lilliput Ballpoint
Keys to my Rewet Buddy, dont know why, I just always keep them with me
Zippo lighter
Worn Burts Bees
Viewfinder for the 15mm

The Voigtlander 15 i find to be rather unpleasant on digital full frame, but on film it is really nice and fun.

Things that i usually leave wherever I sleep (hotel/AirBNB/someones couch) and only bring out if I need/want:
B&O H6 – The best headset i´ve ever owned, on my head from when i leave my house at home ´til I arrive at said location.
Spare battery for the M240 & charger (Not pictured)
Cable allowing my to use any headset while using the Apple battery cover
Olympus EVF – The Leica one is overpriced
Leica Elmar-C 90/4 – Lovely lens and oh so cheap
Konica Hexagon AR 200/4 and adapter to M mount
Leica CF from the Minilux Zoom

Macbook Pro 13″ Retina

Cable release

The awesome thing is that all of it except cellphone, headset and M240 w. 35`cron fits into the bag at once. With the camera over the other shoulder I slide through security with all this and a carry-on bag with no hassle.
That´s all for this time guys, excited to see yours :)

Thanks for sharing your bag with us, Mathias. That is a lovely couple of setups. And that is a very nice looking set of bins.
Check out the links and please come and comment.
Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com

Send me a high resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 1500px across. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Snapshots of your gear with a camera phone and no words will not be featured.

Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.

Cheers
