In your bag 1097, Randy Rubirosa
Now then, I will give Randy a chance because he is so enthusiastic, but from now on if there is no bag in the shot then the shot will not be featured. So, Randy, next time, a bag please.

My name is Randy Rubirosa, I’m from the Dominican Republic, living in the city of Boston, USA. I’m a full time Architecture Student and a Self-taught Photographer.

Photography became my main hobby when a friend of mine who is a photographer saw my photos taken using my phone and he basically told me: Go and buy a camera!

My first intention was to take photos of the buildings, because my passion for architecture, but every time I went out I was more fascinated by what the people were doing on the streets, never before I had payed attention to them as I was with my camera in hands. By this time I didn’t know anything about what Street Photography is. One day in a Facebook photography group I used to post my photos, they started a discussion of Henri Cartier-Bresson, some Google searches and that’s how everything I do as a photographer begun.

The camera I used the most right now is my lovely Fujifilm X-T1 with the 27mm lens. It’s the perfect combo so far.

I got these other three cameras because I found your website months ago and decided to start shooting on film too, but I only shoot film when I’m visiting my parents in New Jersey, because a project I’m working there. All these films are from this projects, I haven’t seen any of the pictures yet. The unexpected, is really exciting.

Cameras:

– Fujifilm X-T1 + 27mm lens
– Pentax KM + 50mm f2
– Yashica Electro 35 GS
– Minolta Hi-Matic 7s

These two last cameras, I have them as a collection, not because I really use them at all.

Films: I started shooting with the Kodak bw400cn, but it’s getting to its last days, so I’m saving some I have left. Now I’m shooting Fuji Superia 400.

The headphones, music is always with me. Nintendo 3DS, when I’m on my way to hit the streets…

My Mac, I always carry it when shooting between home and college.

Thanks for sharing your gear, Randy. I would love to see your actual bag shot on the site though.
Check out the links and make sure you come and comment.

Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag. Optimum size is 620×473. Please ensure there is a bag in the shot, unless you don’t use one. The more you can write about yourself the better, make it appealing and tell us a story. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers
