My name is Alvin Paringit, I’m a 23 year old and am based in Calgary, Canada.
I’m currently a CAD technician for pipeline design in the oil and gas industry. After hours, I’m a full time husband and a father of two boys. In between, when I have time, I do street photography.
I shoot mainly because I need a creative outlet – and photography gives me that quick fix since I barely have time for myself. Also, going on the street keeps me active and alive, especially after sitting in an office for 9 hours a day, every day.
I recently switched to film as my primary medium but will use digital when I need quick results. So far, it’s been a blast and I love the personal connection with my photos, especially after developing my rolls.
My main bag is a OnSight Saigon 2 (laptop) messenger. Not a camera bag, but it has tons of space and functions as one.
Inside I have:
Voigtlander Bessa R with a 35mm f2.5 Color Skopar LTM – my main weapon of choice.
Konica Autoreflex T3 SLR
Bell & Howell Eva Blitz DM-25H flash with PC cord
JCH film cases with mostly Kentmere 400 as well as some consumer films (Kodak Ultra and Fuji Superia)
Fingerless gloves for those chilly fall mornings/nights
Leatherman Wave – best multi-tool you’ll ever need!
iPhone 5s and charger
Audio Technica ATH-COR150 in-ear headphones
Vape Pen – but I enjoy smoking analogs from time to time
Thanks for sharing your bag with us Alvin. I see you use the same vape as me. Although I never smoke analogs anymore.

Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
