In your bag 921, Kate Molenkamp
A delightfully simple setup today. This site definitely needs more ladies. Check this it out.

G’day! Kate Molenkamp for In Your Bag.

I am a photographer from Melbourne (Australia). I am particularly interested the social landscape and lately I’ve shot a fair amount of street.

First of all I would like to start off with my no.1 baby. I have a Mamiya 645 Pro TL, finally equipped with a Sekor 80mm 1.9 (such a beauty), WLF and Crank (Previously was a default prism viewfinder and motorised crank – bulky). The intimacy I share with photography and shooting at waist level has been unmatched with any other camera I have used thus far – Hence why I have taken this camera on journeys as far as Greenland.

Kodak Ektar 100 is my film of choice, and depending on weather and light Kodak Portra 400 is my back-up. Both have served me very well.

My bag has recently expanded from a recent trip to South Korea. There I found a Sekor 55mm 2.8 (for the 645) and my newest camera, a Contax T2 (loaded with Ektar, naturally).

Thank you to JCH for continuing to feed my lust for film cameras. I am about to play around with my Konica Rapid Omega 200 (6×7), so I will be sure to send you an update of my bag and website someday.

Thanks for sharing your bag with us Kate. Very nice.
Check out the links and make sure you come and comment.

Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.
Cheers

I deeply regret letting go of my 645 TL kit. I had the same lenses as you, Kate, it’s an excellent system.

And I see you went to the final Camp – another regret of mine.

Great work.
