In your bag 725, Jesse Struyvelt
Jesse shares with us his simple bag. One camera, one lens (to rule them all…). Check it out.

I’m Jesse Struyvelt, 20 years old, student, living in Belgium and shooting portraiture. I started out early this year. Tried a lot of cameras, have a little bit of the GAS but I think it’s over with my current setup.

I’m trying go to open my horizon and shoot more street, candid & documentary and keep the portraits as an extra. My final descision is to stick with Leica and keep it Leica!

I’m currently shooting with a Leica M4 and a Sonnar 50mm f1.5. My favourite lens. I used the same one on my Leica M8 previous this year.

Last months I’ve been converting my gear and my thinking to film photography because I want to become a better photographer.

My favourite films are Tri-X 400 and Portra 400 which I always carry in my bag.

I develop black and white myself and using a dedicated 35mm scanner, the Plustek OpticFilm 8100.
For color I use a lab nearby but I’m thinking of using Carmencita Film Lab. It’s a new lab in Spain which seems to be really good.

You can find my work on www.jessetr.be or https://www.facebook.com/jessestrphotography (feel free to like!)
And on 500px I can be found at http://500px.com/Jessestr

Kind regards
Jesse Struyvelt

Thanks for sharing this simple and interesting setup with us Jesse. I quite fancy one of those sonnar lenses, I shall have to give one a go.
Check out the links and make sure you come and comment.

Keep them coming folks, we need more submissions, so get your bag on Japancamerahunter.com. Send me a hi resolution image of the bag (please make sure it is horizontal) and its contents, with some details about yourself and what you shoot. Oh and don’t forget your contact details (twitter, flickr, tumbler et al). Send the bag shots here. Please understand that there is a long wait now as there is a backlog of submissions. Not all make the cut, so make sure yours is funny/interesting/quirky. And please make sure the shot is of good quality, as the ones that are not do not go up.

Cheers
Japancamerahunter
