In your bag 435, Philip Basaric
We have another returnee for you. Philip brings us his new setup, minus the bag this time…

Huge fan of the site and the whats in your bag series. This is my new and “improved” bag which is quite a bit different from my last bag (http://japancamerahunter.com/2012/07/in-your-bag-198-philip-basaric/). I am in my last year of highschool now and im working on series about life as a senior at an all boys private school.

Cameras:

Rolleicord- This is my “newest” camera and one that I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with. Its a good camera to take out on a sunny day and capture things from a new angle.

Leica M2- The Leica is the only camera that has not changed in my bag. I have added some accessories to it such as the RapidWinder Softie and a black film winder to make winding film quicker and easier. I mostly shoot black and white with it but from time to time ill find a roll of colour in the fridge.

Olympus Stylus Epic- Fantastic tiny compact…when it focuses. Its one of those cameras you can keep in your pocket and shoot on the go. I use it a lot at school or when im going out with friends.

Sony Nex-7- Great camera. Ive taken it on trips and used it for school work and it has never let me down.

Lenses:

Voigtänder Ultron 35mm f/1.7- Recently i have started to use the 35mm more and more because when im shooting at school i am often close to people or there are a lot of people so the Ultron works great. Because shooting indoors is often pretty low light the f/1.7 also comes in handy.

Leica 50mm Summicron- The summicron is by far my favorite 50mm lens. It is a fantastically sharp lens that i use very frequently

Canon 50mm f/1.8- A new lens that was given to me as a gift by Tom Abrahamsson. The lens has some haze on it that gives it a very unique look. I will be getting it cleaned soon and cant wait to start using it.

Sony 16mm f/2.8 with Fisheye attachent- I love using the fisheye attachment. Its a great lens to use when youre with some friends who are willing to let you get very close up.

Film:

Ilford HP5+ – Because Vancouver (the city where i live) is not known for its sunny winters i have to use a film with a higher iso then my usual 100iso kentmere. Has worked fantastically so far but hopefully there will be some sun soon.

120mm Old no name 100iso Black and White – Bought about 40 rolls of this film from craigslist and i was shocked by how well it has served me. I used to re-spool it to 620 to use in my bownies but lately i have not had the time nor motivation to re-spool.

Misc:

Iphone 5- A much needed upgrade from my old Blackberry! Having a lightmeter app is also quite convenient.

Bravo Philip!
You are a good and great chip of the old block!
Keep clicking and stealing the gear from your old man… He will be fine, trust me.
