In your bag number 209, Steve Ting
Todays bag comes from far far away. All the way down at the bottom of South Island in New Zealand. It may be cold down there, but this bag is anything but cold or lonely. Check it out.

Hello! My name is Steve Ting and I’m a fine art photographer/documentary maker and science communicator based all the way down in Dunedin, New Zealand.
I use a variety of cameras for my work. From submini to large format but for my submission for ‘Whats in your bag’ I thought I would show you all my basic ‘walkaround’ setup. If you are interested in seeing some of my work then please feel free to visit my You can see some of my flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/steveting/

Bag
Lowpro Sling – I know it looks kinda strange but after going through several bags I have found that this is the easiest and best form fitting bag for everyday use. It has a padded cell for my lens and my camera body as well as a extension section which can fit a extra jacket (its bloody cold down here!)

Camera
Leica M6 TTL – It Works well and built like a small weapon. Attached to the bottom is a Abrahamsson rapidwinder which I have just got.

Lens
Leica 90mm Elmarit 2.8f – Its old but gives some wonderful results.
Vogitlander 40mm MC 1.4f – My ‘normal’ lens that is great in low light.
Konica Hexanon 28mm 2.8f – A solid lens that produces great results consistently

Flash
Leica SF20

Fujifilm Instax 50s – A great compact instant camera! Instant prints make great gifts and are wonderful talking points in this age of digital. The best thing about this camera is the wonderful closeup lens attachment that allows you to just that bit closer to your subject. I also always carry a spare packet of film with me..just in case.

Fujifilm Film holder – Filled mostly with Tri-X and Portra.

Film Puller – I always do mid-roll changes of my films so this allows me to pull out the tongues if I need to reinsert a film in a hurry.

Lens Coth and Lens wipes – Always be prepared!
